Palmetto Peanut Boil | Saturday, Sept. 30th | Devine Street / 2900 block | 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm | Now in its 16th year, the Palmetto Peanut Boil has grown from a small backyard affair to an annual outdoor festival drawing thousands of attendees from all over the Midlands. Highlighting the best of the best cooks and recipes in SC, the competition features teams vying for the honor of the championship trophy and bragging rights for another year. And along with the competition, the Palmetto Peanut Boil also offers live music, food, and kids’ entertainment. Leashed pets are welcome! Irmo Okra Strut Festival | Friday, Sept. 29 & Saturday, Sept. 30 | 6-10 p.m. | Irmo Community Park, 7507 Eastview Dr., Irmo | Entry to the festival is free but individual fees apply for rides, amusements, food, and drinks.

Oktoberfest at Savage Craft | Saturday, Sept. 30th | 11:30 am – 11 pm | Savage Craft Ale Works, 430 Center St., West Columbia | Free | Celebrate Oktoberfest with all-day music, German beer releases and food menu, prizes, face painting + more.

JerryFest 2023 | Sunday, Oct. 1st | 11:30 am – 8 pm | Five Points on Saluda Avenue, 747 Saluda Avenue in Columbia | JerryFest, a FREE outdoor concert annually held on the first Sunday in October, returns October 1st, and will feature more music and regional acts on two stages this year. JerryFest runs from 11:30 am – 8 pm with an official after party at Publico from 7:30 pm – 10 pm. Multiple bands will be performing Jerry Garcia and Grateful Dead music, along with the addition this  year of some other jam-band favorites.

Colakicks EXPO | Sunday, Oct. 1st |  12 pm – 5 pm | Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center 1101 Lincoln St in Columbia | South Carolina’s biggest Buy, Sell, Trade event of the year! We will have over 100 vendors, food and beverages, giveaways, auctions, & more!

Hop Forward: Best of SC Craft Beer Festival | The SC Brewers Guild is proud to announce the return of Hop Forward: Best of SC Craft Beer Festival, a celebration of the incredible and diverse craft beers being created across the state.

Taking place on Sept. 30th at the Junction 800 event space in the heart of Columbia’s historic Vista district, more than 60 breweries will come together and give attendees the opportunity to taste their way across the Palmetto state’s beer industry, one sample at a time. 800 Gervais St. in Columbia. Fall Fido Festival 2023 at Crooked Creek Park at 1098 Old Lexington Highway in Chapin is back again this year! Get ready for Modern Companion’s most anticipated dog-friendly event of the year! Sunday, Oct. 1st, from 1 – 4 pm. Photo ops, games, vendors, shopping, food trucks, adoptions, raffles, demonstrations, and so much more it’s the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
