This yearly celebration highlights the importance of education, freedom, and the accomplishments of African Americans, as well as fosters initiatives that promote economic, social, educational, health, and community development.

2024 Southeastern BBQ Showdown | Friday, June 14 – Saturday, June 15 | Segra Park, 1640 Freed St., Columbia | 30 BBQ competition teams from across the world will cook and provide samples.
Reggaetronic Lake Murray Music Festival 2024 at Jim Spence Islands in Lexington on June 15 | 10:30 am -7:00 pm | $25 to $275 | The Reggaetronic Lake Murray Music festival is a floating music festival igniting the soul of Columbia and Lake Murray.
