36th Annual Carolina Celebration of Liberty
36th Annual Carolina Celebration of Liberty takes place 3 pm and 6:30 pm on Sunday, June 25th at First Baptist Church, 1306 Hampton Street in Columbia. The Carolina Celebration of Liberty is the longest running event of its kind in our state. Led by Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra, it is a flag-waving, patriotic extravaganza honoring those presently serving, our veterans, and those who have given the final full measure of devotion for our liberty. It is estimated that it has been seen in person and on television by well over one million people.
With various state and local dignitaries, special honorees, and thousands in attendance, come together to honor God and thank Him for this free land that has been a beacon of freedom and liberty around the world. This event is free but you will need a ticket to enter.
Town of Lexington Independence Day Celebration
Town of Lexington Independence Day Celebration starts 7 pm on Friday, June 30th at the Icehouse Amphitheater, 107 West Main Street in Lexington.
The 246th Army Band will play a concert beginning at 7 pm and there will be a fireworks show to follow. There will be beer + wine + soft drinks & water available for purchase.
You can tune into 93.1FM The Lake to listen to patriotic music during the fireworks show. Best viewing areas include the Icehouse Amphitheater, Main St. restaurants, Lexington Square Park, Lexington Veterans Monument and any public parking lot in the Downtown Area. The parking lots along Church Street will be closed all day. Free to attend.
35th Annual 4th of July Celebration on Lake Murray
35th Annual 4th of July Celebration on Lake Murray Saturday, July 1st, 12 pm the Boat Parade will leave from Bomb Island and head towards the dam. Fireworks will be launched from Spence and Dreher Islands. They are best viewable by boat or on Dreher Island (gates at Dreher Island close at 8pm) but can be seen over the lake.
Dreher Island State Park – $3 adults | $1.50 SC seniors | $1 children age 6-15 | age 5 & younger free.
Enjoy the patriotic display as locals & visitors decorate their boats in ways that will leave you amazed! Viewable from the park sites at the Lake Murray Dam after 12:30 pm or by boat! This year’s theme is “Red, White, Blue and You”.
Fireworks will launch at dark (around 9:30 pm) from two lake locations: Spence Island & Dreher Island. Fireworks DO NOT launch from the park sites at the dam. The best viewing location is from a boat. The fireworks show is synchronized to music. Tune your radio to B106.7 to hear patriotic music while enjoying the view.
*If you choose to stream the music there will be a delay. The best way to watch/listen is to tune your radio to B106 the old-fashioned way.
Blowfish Baseball & Fireworks Show
Blowfish Baseball & Fireworks Show July 3rd features Independence Celebration & Post Game fireworks.
July 4th, how about a 4th of July Fish Fry! They’re splitting up the team – half on the Blowfish and half on the Glowfish. This will be a fun night to celebrate America’s Independence with a huge fireworks show at the end of the 7-inning game.
Gates open at 6 pm | First pitch at 7:05 pm., Monday, July 3rd & Tuesday, July 4th for the Fireworks Show at the Lexington County Baseball Stadium, 474 Ball Park Road in Lexington.
Individual tickets – $9.50. Gates open at 6 pm | First pitch at 7:05 pm.
A Rockin’ Red, White & Blue
A Rockin’ Red, White & Blue Saturday, July 1st, 4-10 pm, the Town of Blythewood is back with another “Rockin’ Red White & Blue” This is not an event you want to miss! There will be food, live music, vendors, and more at Doko Meadows Park, 171 Langford Rd. in Blythewood. Free to attend.
Fort Jackson Independence Day Celebration
Fort Jackson Independence Day Celebration Saturday, July 1st, 4-10pm at Fort Jackson – Hilton Field. Gates open at 4 pm, free concert starts at 6 pm, fireworks at sunset (around 9:30 pm) on Hartsville Guard Road in Columbia Fort Jackson Independence Day Celebration at Hilton Field commemorating the 247th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and creation of our Nation. Entertainment includes a variety of static displays, concerts by country/R&B/Pop artist Blanco Brown with Brooks Herring, Fireworks, Kids Zone with Carnival Rides and Crafts Tents, Food/Beverages. Civilians, Family Members, contractors, Partners in Excellence (PiE), the general public and friends of Fort Jackson are invited and encouraged to attend.

Red White & Wett – Pool Party Saturday, July 1st, 3pm – 9pm at River’s Edge Retreat, 1019 Garden Valley Ln. in Columbia. Join hundreds of people from Columbia, Charleston & Charlotte to celebrate poolside at River’s Edge Retreat with pool decor, tropical drink features by HPNOTIQ, food off the grill, R&B, throwbacks, Reggae, Afrobeats & current hits by Mell & Clif. One BIG Summer Party Monday, July 3rd starting 5 pm at 701 Whaley Street in Columbia features a Double room event w/ 2 different parties, 2 different vibes in 1 building.

Lexington County Peach Festival
Lexington County Peach Festival Tuesday, July 4th, 8am – 11pm the famous Lexington County Peach Festival is back. This one-day family friendly festival is an event for all ages. Festivities will celebrate the community, Independence Day, and the Queen of all fruits, the peach! Enjoy live entertainment, fresh peach treats, arts and crafts, the peach parade, fireworks, beauty pageants, and so much more at Gilbert Community Park, 115 Rikard Circle in Gilbert. Free to attend, $5 to park.
Fireworks with the Phil
Fireworks with the Phil Tuesday, July 4th Gates open 6:30 pm | Orchestra plays around 8 pm at Segra Park, 1640 Freed Street in Columbia. In conjunction with the South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra, the Columbia Fireflies will host Fireworks with the Phil at Segra Park. This family-friendly event is the perfect way to start your Fourth of July weekend! Cost $8 – $10.
Born in the USA Four Miler
Born in the USA Four Miler – kicking off 7 am on Tuesday, July 4th rain or shine is a 4 miler, a 4 mile 2 person relay, or a firecracker youth run for kids at North Trenholm Road in Columbia. Cost $20 – $35.
